Nadania Idriss

Born in Berkeley, California, I pursued studies in medieval art and architecture in the Middle East before embarking on a career at the British Museum in London and UNESCO in Paris. My relocation to Berlin in 2005 marked a significant chapter in my professional journey. Throughout my career, I have been deeply involved in volunteering within youth clubs and museums, finding great fulfilment in community engagement. I have also proven to be highly skilled in development — whether in building institutions from the ground up, fostering partnerships, or creating opportunities for others to thrive. The establishment of Berlin Glas and the Glassworks has been truly my purpose. We strive to foster artist collaborations, offer educational programs for the public, engage with youth and migrant communities, host artist residencies, and facilitate international university exchanges. Moreover, our commitment extends to teaching sculpture at the three art academies in Berlin.
